Newly rebranded full-service agency Hello has claimed the prestigious and highly contested Best Large Agency AiMCO Award. In total the agency walked away with five wins and two highly commended awards.

Why it matters: The agency dominated multiple award categories, winning Best Health/Fitness/Sport for its work on Overnight Lab with Kotex and receiving a highly commended award in the Beauty/Lifestyle category for its work with Lynx.

Hello also won Best Use of Data (client Kotex) and Most Effective Campaign for ROI (client Kotex). It also received a highly commended award in Most Effective Collaboration/Partnership for Red Cross 2023 x Uber.

Hello beat rivals Social Soup, Jack Nimble, Spawnpoint Media and Wavemaker in the competitive Large Agency category.

What they said: Sam Kelly, Managing Partner, Hello, told the room: “This certainly wasn’t an overnight success. We were founded 13 years ago and did our first word of mouth influencer marketing campaign with a $5,000 budget 11 years ago. Today we stand here with a team of 65, still independently owned, self-funded with no investment, delivering talent campaigns for the world’s best brands. We’re immensely proud.

“While the industry has focused on scale and efficiency, doing more for less through technology and acquisition, Hello Social has doubled down on quality, creativity and effectiveness.”

Go Deeper: It is just weeks since Hello rebranded from Hello Social, launching a full-service integrated agency. It told Little Black Book recently the change was designed to address marketers’ frustrations with the "agency village" model being by offered by many of its competitors.

“There isn't an offering like this, with this range of services, in market at the moment,” Kelly said, at its upfront event in Sydney last month.
