Facebook live streams will now disappear after 30 days

Creators are being warned that, beginning February 19, live streams on Facebook will now only be hosted on the platform for 30 days.

The company made the announcement on a blog on the site, warning they will be automatically be removed after 30 days and announced a new tool to allow Creators to download any previous live videos.

Why it matters: A lot of Creator might have a video library of content on the platform and may need to download and rehouse some of their old content.

What they said: "Beginning on February 19th, any new live broadcast videos can be replayed, downloaded or shared from your Facebook Pages or profiles for 30 days, after which they will automatically be removed from Facebook. Previously these videos were stored indefinitely.

"These changes will align our storage policies with industry standards and help ensure we are providing the most up-to-date live video experiences for everyone on Facebook."
