Meet the Aussie creator who became a 'Texas BBQ queen'

Jess Pryles is an Australian creator, now based out of Texas, who has built her online following around live fire cooking.

The chef, who got her first taste of live fire cooking during a trip to Texas back in 2008, has now built an audience of hundreds of thousands on both Instagram (299k followers) and TikTok (171.6k) and set up her own brand Hardcore Carnivore.

Much of Pryles' channels focus on recipes and hacks for cooking meat on live fire barbecues. She moved to Texas in 2015, around the same time she co-founded the Australasian Barbecue Alliance a competitive body for barbecue.

Pryles' audience is largely male with almost half in the US. She does paid partnerships but notes she only works with brands "that I genuinely like and use. Integrity matters."
