Nurelle boss gives his tips for creators on how to price themselves

The Managing Director of Nurelle, a leading influencer agency, Jordan Michaelides, has posted a video giving creators advice on how to determine the right amount to charge for sponsored content.

What they said: Michaelides said: "The people typically reaching out to you, whether a brand or a media agency, are used to buying space across different mediums. That space could be anywhere from a billboard, a TV commercial, social media, YouTube, or influencers in this case."

"You as the influencer are selling a combination of things, you are selling a combination of your creativity - so they are paying you for the actual content you create... they are also paying for the attention or access to your audience. Which is a form of media."

Michaelides then explains what a CPM is. "You have to remember you are often dealing with a short form medium so attention is scare but you have a lot of trust with your audience so there has to be some mayonnaise - as we call it - in the price you set," he said.

"The best thing you can do is work out what is the median number of views - not the average - the median over the last 30 days, work out what that figure is divide it by 1000 and then multiple it by a CPM that you think is fair."
