Former MKR host and celebrity chef Pete Evans is back on Instagram, four years after he was banned for deliberately spreading misinformation.

Go Deeper: The Sydney Morning Herald's Karl Quinn wrote a piece last week noting the chef's return to the platform and how he is using it to "promote his businesses, recipes, and sometimes-controversial views on health and medicine."

In response to the SMH's piece Evans took to Instagram to declare he was on the platform "to share delicious recipes."

Evans’ posts to date have largely focused on food, but as SMH notes, he has also posted about the appointment of anti-vaccine advocate Robert F. Kennedy Jr. as HHS Secretary in the US.

He also posted about an interview he did with New Dawn magazine, which describes itself as the "#1 magazine for people who think for themselves."

To date Evans has built a following of around 45,000 followers, with just under 70% of that audience in Australia. The account's audience skews female with 35% aged 35-44.
