Tony Armstrong sketch video puts spotlight on online racism

ABC presenter Tony Armstrong has hit back at the ongoing racism he experiences on social media with a comedy sketch video launching Furore, the “grammar app keeping racists safe online by helping them spell their outbursts correctly”.
The video, which has already had 1.2m views on Instagram, highlights the sustained racism Armstrong and other prominent First Nations Australians receive. Read more.

Meta is rolling out AI chat bots into its apps - what you need to know

Last week, Meta announced it was rolling out its AI chat function across Europe, overcoming data protection rules that had hamstrung previous rollouts.
Meta began the rollout of its AI product in the US in September 2023, India in June 2024, and the UK in October. According to a blog post last week, the rollout across 21 countries is the largest global expansion of Meta AI to date. Read more.
