US VP Vance signals TikTok deal likely before April 5 deadline

Vice President JD Vance has told the media that he expects a deal to be secured for the future of TikTok in the US before a looming April 5 deadline.
What he said: “There will almost certainly be a high-level agreement that I think satisfies our national security concerns, allows there to be a distinct American TikTok enterprise,” Vance said during an interview aboard Air Force Two with NBC News.
Go Deeper: Vance is one of those who has been tasked with organising a TikTok deal. Last week it emerged that there were potentially four bidders for the US operation of the Chinese-owned short-form video app.
Creators around the world are watching events closely with some preparing, by setting up on other platforms, in the event of another US ban.
