If you have ever gone down the rabbit hole of the Amalfi Jets TikTok account you'll know it's a hilarious place, filled with characters like McKenna and the often crazy stories of the team fulfilling the wishes of the ultra wealthy.

But Amalfi Jets has built a TikTok following and social media fandom of more than 2.6 million which is now being mirrored by Australian operators like Airly Private Jets.

What to know: CEO Kolin Jones starts a lot of his videos with "this is Kolin" and starts a call or describes a text from a client in what are often bizarre and/or hilarious scenarios.

Amalfi Jets is a private jet broker with a network of 3,500 private jets across 170 countries and uses TikTok to pitch to its customers how they can access to top-of-the-range aircraft within a matter of hours.

In an interview with Aerotime last year, Jones told them about his initial view on TikTok saying: "Frankly, when we first launched our TikTok, I was very against it. To that same point, I was like, this is not a very elegant type of thing that you would expect from a private aviation company...

"When we launched it, I was very hesitant, in the sense of thinking, ‘wow, one of our clients may see this and become very upset’. We just haven’t seen that; a lot of people think it’s funny. You see a lot of these corporate companies that have these huge production-level TikToks, but that’s just not what drives the engagement. That’s not what people go on to TikTok to see. You go on TikTok and these platforms to be engaged. And I would say our content is very provocative, very engaging, and sparks discussions."

How Airly Jets uses their TikTok: In Australia Airly Jets has taken a page of the Amalfi TikTok playbook with CEO Luke Hampshire also fronting their videos and highlighting the lifestyle its private jet clients are buying.

While the Airly TikTok scenarios might not be as crazy as what Amalfi experiences the team still try to have fun on the platform... even poking fun at creators who often ask to do collaborations with them.

This is why we don’t accept influencer collab requests…. Sorry, not sorry.

A lot of what both accounts do is sell a lifestyle to wealthy individuals and senior executives, often focused on their Jetcard programs, while also using TikTok to drive direct opportunities to book flights on empty legs.
