Why is Adam Bandt doing a DJ gig with Abbie Chatfield?
In the world of Australian creators, Abbie Chatfield is one of the most prominent voices, particularly on TikTok (618k followers) and Instagram (529k followers).
Hardly a week goes by when Chatfield doesn't grab media headlines. Be it for her views on MAFS, politics, relationship advice or anything in between. This is why it was interesting that on the weekend Chatfield grabbed headlines for a DJ gig with Greens leader Adam Bandt.

Bandt is also not the only progressive politician to court Chatfield, who is often deeply critical of the policies of the Coalition. Last month Prime Minister Albanese went on Chatfield's podcast in what many are seeing as an attempt to emulate Donald Trump's podcast focused strategy around the US Presidential Election.

The move is widely seen as an attempt to reach and connect with Chatfield's younger audience who are predominantly female and around half are aged between 18-24.
